'Echoes' - Presented by GAZE at Empire Cinema (CPH)

'Echoes' is a sound work developed by Oscar Friisgaard for GAZE. The sound work was written for 5.1 surround sound, and accompanied by visuals from Will Zawistowski.

The musical experience of ‘Echoes’ emerges through the way sound activates memories, associations, and emotions, thereby shaping a musical narrative and auditory reality. Using digitally manipulated acoustic instruments and field recordings, the sound work investigates how the referential meaning embedded in these sounds forms the foundation of an abstract sound narrative.

GAZE is a new spatial sound concert series, created by Kristian Mølholm Larsen & Oscar Friisgaard. The project is aimed at creating new listening experiences, by presenting original sound works composed for and with immersive sound systems.
